MEET LYCANN!!! (WESTERN CAPE)

This extremely handsome boy is Lycann and he is a 7 year old male Alaskan Malamute

Lycann is a very very very sweet boy. He is obsessed with exploring and walking. Taking him out once a day is absolutely essential, after his daily exercise which either consists of a off the leash park day or a good walk/run he actually just lounges around the house.

He would be best suited to a more active family as he currently does a 5km walk/run every day.

He prefers to be indoors and close to his owner, he will follow you absolutely everywhere.

He is fully trained and knows a few tricks as well, he does not dig or destroy things and is also very quiet for a husky mix. (No screaming or howling ever)

He does have the “selective hearing” trait of huskies but mostly just when there is a lot of excitement and with the right approach he listens very quickly.

He gets along with most dogs however he is not a cat lover at all.

He is good to be left alone at home with no issues and has been to doggy-day cares, overnight boarding etc with great feedback.

He is also not very food motivated so there is no issues with him over eating.

Even though he is 7, he is extremely healthy and has had no health problems in the past either.

He usually goes to the parlour once a month for a wash, groom and de-shed, to keep his coat free of tangles and healthy. It is important that he does get brushed every once in a while to avoid his hair getting matted.

It is vital that where he stays is fully fenced, he absolutely will go off and explore on his own if he finds a way to get out.

Lycann is a true gem of a dog, extremely smart, sweet and well behaved.
