MEET GOLDIE!!! (GAUTENG)
Gorgeous Goldie is a 7 year old female pure breed Labrador.
Goldie is an absolute sweetheart with a warm, super friendly, calm and loving nature. Anytime visitors come, she gets extremely happy and excited to meet new friends.
All encounters with children have been positive and warm. She loves to just be close and will sit immediately or bow her head between your knees for head rubs at every opportunity. She is calm indoors and will usually lay at your feet or stretch out on the floor to relax. She does like to play, but her favourite thing is just being physically close. Although she’s quite independent if left outside as well, and often lays on her own when the other doggie is being too clingy or annoying 🙂
She doesn’t show much interest for toys, but loves goodies for chewing like smoked bones, flavoured dental treats or the toys that can hide peanut butter/snacks.
She absolutely LOVES walks and being let off leash. Her recall is not the greatest however she will never go too far off and always checks to see where you are to stay close. She walks well on leash but takes a moment stop pulling (initial excitement) – once out on the road, she walks nicely.
She is extremely sensitive and picks up when something is not right. She is also very alert to surroundings and will only bark if there is really something to bark at as an alert, like unfamiliar voices in the driveway etc.
She is great with other dogs, but she is not a fan of cats.
She is extremely food and treat motivated and will do a excited spins when it’s feeding time. She unfortunately does have a history of a sensitive tummy, so her diet is strictly dry kibble…but of course loves the occasional treat of chicken and rice when she seems not to have an appetite.
Overall, Goldie has the sweetest heart ever, a beautiful dog for a family…bundle of love and loyalty.
